Netherlands and into Germany

We were amazed at the angle some of the houses stood at. Due to the swamp like quality of the reclaimed land under Amsterdam, they used wooden stilts driven into the wet ground to provide support. As these supports rot the houses are starting to tilt and sink into the earth.
